Directions by Car: Take the A9 north of Inverness to the Nigg roundabout, about 10 miles north of the Cromarty Bridge. Follow the short piece of dual carriageway north of the roundabout still on the A9 then take the B9165 right turn signed to Fearn and Portmahomack. Go over the bridge at Fearn Station about another mile and Mounteagle is signed on the left at a sharp right hand bend in the road. Follow the drive to its end then bear left and follow the gravel drive to Shepherd’s Cottage.
Directions by Train: There is an excellent daily train service from London to Inverness. Change at Inverness and Fearn station is an hour North on the Highland line to Wick and Thurso. Fearn station is 1 mile from the farm, and we can pick you up by arrangement. Car hire is available in Inverness.
Directions by Air: Inverness Airport is 15 miles east of Inverness. There is a regular bus service to Inverness where the train is available.
